Each week before we start support groups, we remind one another of the rules and 3 truths. These are truths we want all teens to know and believe.
They are also truths we want ALL PEOPLE to know and believe about themselves.
So I want to tell you about Truth #1.
I am Lovable. It is a reminder to us all that we are Able to be loved. We may not be loved by everyone, but we are loved by others and we are loved unconditionally by God.
I am Capable. This is a reminder that "we can do all things through Christ, who gives us strength" Philippians 4:13 We can do things that we are called to and gifted at and we can learn new things and grow. You are capable to achieve anything you can dream.
I am worthwhile. This is a reminder that YOU are worth our time. We have 8 Youth Leaders leading every Wednesday. And all of those adults have decided you, the youth, young adults and adults reading this email are worth our time. Friends, you are worthwhile. You bring value to every interaction and you are worth people putting energy into.
So, that's Truth #1. As you reflect on these statements, take some time to recite them to yourself. Notice how they impact you. Notice what God might be saying to you through these truths. Spend some time reflecting.
